‘Shepards delight’

Inspired by the old saying, “Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight.”

A celebration of those fleeting moments just before the sun disappears, when the sky comes alive with warmth and colour. Painted on raw canvas, the pigments soak into the fibres, becoming part of the canvas rather than simply resting upon it. Bright strokes of oil pastel dance over the surface, much like the last golden rays of sunlight catching the clouds before dusk.

Medium: Acrylic and oil stick on raw canvas
